Starting June 1st, hair mavens can bring in used, extra or new blow dryers to Mane Attraction Salon for donation to Chrysalis Women’s Shelter. The crisis shelter provides transitional housing for up to 24 months, outpatient counseling, community education and preventive programs. The Blow Dryer Exchange not only assists victims of domestic violence, but it allows donors to receive 20% off a customized blow drying lesson at Mane Attraction Salon. The service which normally starts at $54, provides a shampoo, blow dry with a customized demonstration and some hands on practice that teaches the average household beautician how to “do-it-yourself”. Each client leaves with a personalized hair care regimen, list of styling tools and a diagram on how to recreate their salon finish.
