Arizona MLK March & Festival

The 2022 MLK Celebration is a long-standing tradition of the Arizona Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Committee, with a series of events honoring the life and legacy of Dr. King. The week-long celebration ends with the MLK Annual March & Festival and Youth Rally on Jan. 17.
Join the City of Phoenix along with city leaders, local businesses, churches and other community organizations, in paying homage to the great Civil Rights leader. On Monday, Jan. 17, 2022, the Arizona Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee celebrates promoting cultural diversity, awareness and unity as it seeks to involve all Arizonans in recognizing the legacy or Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and the contributions he left to the world in his quest for equality for all people.
MARCH: 9 a.m. The commemorative march from Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church and culminate with a festival at Margaret T. Hance Park. Distance is about two miles.
FESTIVAL: 10 a.m. Festival activities include speakers, speeches, stage performances and poetry, Educational/Community resource booths, Artisan/Retail, Health/Wellness, food vendors and kids activity area.
