Ballsfest Arizona

Ballsfest will bounce back into Paradise Valley for its third annual fundraiser from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday, March 15 outside at Mountain Shadows Resort.

The uplifting nonprofit, founded by testicular cancer survivor and Scottsdale resident, Frank DeBlasi, raises money to provide unforgettable experiences for young cancer patients, who are affectionately called “Ballers.”

Emceed by local television personality, Vanessa Ramirez, Ballsfest will treat guests to an afternoon of food, entertainment and various fundraising opportunities.

Set outdoors with the backdrop of Mountain Shadows Resort’s golf course, The Short Course, and Paradise Valley’s desert landscape, attendees will have the opportunity to indulge in a custom slider bar, an open bar with a wide selection of libations, and an ice cream sandwich station.

Ballsfest brings over 10 successful years of development and growth through fundraisers in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. and Las Vegas. to its annual event in Paradise Valley. Through relationships with local resource and treatment centers, including the Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Banner Cardon Children’s Medical Center, six Arizona Ballers have been selected to be honored at this year’s event. They include 10-year-old Oliviah Hill from Arizona City, Ariz., 20-year-old Maicel Burnette from Whiteriver, Ariz., 11-year-old Christopher Hipolito-Castro from Phoenix, Ariz., 21-year-old Samantha Preston from Glendale, Ariz., 19-year-old Ashton Gundlach from Gilbert, Ariz., and 20-year-old Nolan Hynes from Phoenix. Some gifts for Ballers from the past have included a new car, a trip to Spain to see Barcelona play Real Madrid, and an afternoon with celebrity chef Guy Fieri.
