Canteen Modern Tequila Bar Grand Opening

Canteen Modern Tequila Bar, one of the latest additions to Centerpoint on Mill in Tempe, will hold its grand opening October 15 & 16.
Julian Wright, owner of Mill Avenue’s popular La Bocca Pizzeria + Wine Bar will introduce his Canteen Modern Tequila Bar concept at 6th and Mill, featuring fresh gourmet regional Mexican food with a focus on coastal and southern Mexico flavors and a noteworthy selection of tequilas.
Executive Chef Luis Millan who was born and raised in Mexico, received his culinary training in Paris, France. Millan has drawn upon his extensive travels to create Canteen’s menu influenced by different regions. Bold flavors from the freshest local ingredients inspire the mesquite roasted Corona and lime chicken wings, wood grilled ahi tuna tostadas with pineapple glaze, smoked pepper aioli and fresh shaved coconut; and the achiote-rubbed whole roasted pork shank in banana leaves with habanero mango salsa.
Owner Julian Wright plans to feature 100 to 150 different kinds of premium tequila, making them top in the state for variety.
