Chef Marcellino’s Wine Dinner Series
April 25 @ 6:00 pm$75
Due to popular demand, Marcellino Ristorante is continuing Chef Marcellino Verzino’s new wine dinner series through October. Prior to the coronavirus pandemic, the fine dining restaurant would host intimate wine dinners just a few times a year at the Chef’s Island, which seats up to 16 guests.
In June, Chef Marcellino and his wife, Sima, created a new series of twice-monthly wine dinners that provide a fun, educational culinary experience while allowing guests to be socially distanced. Each Wine Dinner presents a different Italian vineyard and menu from Chef Marcellino. “At first, we weren’t sure what to expect, but Chef’s new wine dinners have been a big hit,” Sima Verzino said. “Several guests have mentioned that they have felt isolated at home and they appreciate that they can enjoy an entertaining evening out in a safe, social distanced setting.”
The schedule follows:
6 p.m., Tuesday: August 25, Sept. 15, Sept. 29, Oct. 13 & Oct. 27
Cost: $75 per person, not including tax and gratuity
**Different menu and vineyard presented for each date.
Chef Marcellino will present an extraordinary four-course dinner which includes an antipasto, one of his specialty hand-crafted pasta dishes, secondo (entree), and delicious homemade biscotti for dessert. Sommelier Dario Soldan of Classico Wines will pair fine Italian wines with each course. Throughout the evening, Chef Marcellino and Dario will speak about the cuisine and the wines poured. Guests will learn about the wine characteristics, origins and why they pair so perfectly with each course. Chef Marcellino will present a different menu and vineyard in each of his series. Cost: $75 per person, not including tax and gratuity. Reservations must be made by the Friday prior to each event.
