Pedal Haus Pizza Day for Charity
February 2 @ 3:00 pm
Award-wining brewery, Pedal Haus, is hosting a weeklong pizza competition to raise money for charity kicking off on Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 3 p.m. and running through National Pizza Day on Tuesday, Feb. 9.
The restaurant’s founders, Julian Wright and Derek “Doc” Osborne, will begin offering their two original pizza creations on Feb. 2. The best-selling pizza creator will have $500 and 50 percent of the pizza sales on National Pizza Day donated to the charity of their choice. Both pizzas will be $16 each.
Both founders have opted for animal charities, with Julian selecting Valley Dogs and Doc’s competing on behalf of AZK9 Rescue.
Julian’s pizza will feature slow-roasted pulled pork, fresh mozzarella, caramelized onions, peppadew peppers and fresh herbs. Doc’s creation is a Diavola Soprassata pizza with Boars Head pepperoni, Calabrian chilis, jalapenos and honey drizzle.
In addition to the pizza-making competition, Pedal Haus is also releasing two new beers to celebrate – the Dopplebok on Feb. 2 and the Guild IPA on Feb. 9.
