Phoenix Walk for 1 in 100

The Adult Congenital Heart Association will hold its annual Phoenix Walk for 1 in 100 on Sunday, Nov. 6, at Tempe Diablo Stadium. The family-friendly event will feature face painting, a photo booth, giant Connect Four, Jenga and cornhole, as well as a heart-themed scavenger hunt to raise awareness for adult congenital heart disease.

Scottsdale restaurant Salt Cellar and Kona Ice will provide refreshments to energize walkers. Check-in for the event begins at 9 a.m., with the opening ceremony kicking off at 10 a.m.

Funds generated through the Phoenix walk will support the ACHA Adult Congenital Heart Disease Accreditation Program, which is working to elevate and standardize care for people living with ACHD nationwide. In addition, Walk for 1 in 100 funds cutting-edge medical research, advocacy efforts and various educational and outreach initiatives.

Several nonprofit organizations have pledged to donate and fund ACHA’s awareness initiatives, including Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Johnson & Johnson, Mayo Clinic, Hercules Industries, Newrez Now and Wolff Mechanical, Inc.
