The Italian Daughter Honors Tomaso Maggiore

In honor of late Chef Tomaso Maggiore’s birthday, The Italian Daughter is featuring a limited-time menu available from open to close on the day of Tomaso’s birthday, August 18, through August 22.

The Italian piano bar and restaurant is owned and operated by Tomaso’s daughter, Melissa Maggiore. To honor her father, this special menu features some of his favorite Italian dishes, and the proceeds from this menu will be donated to The Tomaso Maggiore Culinary Arts Foundation, a charity that aims to support and promote culinary education programs.

This prix fixe menu is available as a four-course meal for $60 per person, with Italian wine accompaniments, including Tomaso’s own Luxus Riserva wine, for an additional $30 or guests can purchase the new menu items for an individual price.

Sicilian Seafood Salad made with fresh octopus, shrimp, scallops, calamari, celery, EVOO, lemon and sea salt ($16 if bought individually)

Primi Piatti made with Busiate Trapanese and handcrafted pasta with almond and campari tomato pesto ($24 if bought individually)

Tomaso’s Mixed Grill made with Sicilian lamb, grilled Italian sausage and sauteed rapini ($45 if bought individually)

Dessert choice of a Cassatini, a fresh-baked cake filled with sweet ricotta cream, or the restaurant’s signature cannoli ($12 if bought individually)
