The Wine Store Spirit Tasting

The Wine Store by Chef Mark Tarbell is offering spirit tastings that are open and free to the public. Reservations can be made by calling The Wine Store. The tastings will take place Aug. 12 – 26, 2021.
Opened by Chef Mark Tarbell in 2013, The Wine Store has always been a well-loved wine and spirits destination for Scottsdale/Paradise Valley/Arcadia residents. Selling a curated selection of wines, Tarbell expanded his business to house all kinds of spirits. Today, The Wine Store is offering wine memberships, spirit education and spirit tastings hosted by Director of Spirits, John Christie.
August 12: 5-7 p.m. Stop by for a tasting of Del Maguey Mezcal and receive education on the delicious spirit. Hand-crafted by individual Zapotec and Mixtec farmer-families, Del Maguey introduced artisanal mezcal to the world in 1995 and celebrates the traditions of ancestral villages that give each unique expression its own rich, sweet and smoky character.
August 19: 4-7 p.m. Come taste Knob Creek Bourbon and Rye followed by an educational session, and a complimentary bottle engraving. Knob Creek continues to reign as a preferred small-batch whiskey.
August 26: 5-7 p.m. A “Taste of the Bourbon Trail”will feature Buffalo Trace and Four Roses Bourbon for fine bourbon sipping and savoring.
