Zoo Move & Groove

The Phoenix Zoo hosts its annual 5K run–Zoo Move & Groove–through ZooLights, taking place Jan. 21 at 5:30 p.m.

Zoo Move & Groove was forever a daytime fundraising walk/run, but this will be the second year in a row that participants will enjoy a nighttime event through ZooLights! Proceeds from this fundraising event will go toward the non-profit Zoo’s local conservation efforts for species such as black-footed ferret, Mt. Graham red squirrel and the Chiricahua leopard frog, but will also help care for the thousands of animals who call the Zoo home.

Though the race starts at 5:30 p.m., ZooLights is open for participants/spectators from 6 to 10 p.m. There will also be awards and raffles for participants.

REGISTRATION FOR THE 5K: Online registration is $50. Event day pricing is $60 Included with race registration is a commemorative shirt, admission into exclusive ZooLights night immediately following the race, Dinosaurs in the Desert, raffle ticket(s), kettle corn and cocoa, and a “glow” necklace/bracelet.
