Fall Festivities in Phoenix

Pumpkins and Halloween decorations are popping up in stores, pumpkin spice lattes have reappeared and the weather is getting cooler (for most!). We have some of the top fall festivities and activities in the Valley you will not want to miss with your loved ones and friends.

Pumpkin and Chili Party

Schnepfā€™s Farms was named a ā€œTop Fiveā€ Pumpkin Farm in the Southwest by Sunset Magazine. This event runs the entire month of October, Thursday- Sunday; Thursday and Sunday from 10am-9pm and Friday and Saturday 10am-10pm. Events include hay rides, carousel, 4 acre corn maze, miniature golf, roller coasters, bon fires and fireworks on Friday and Saturday nights. Admission tickets are $17 per person; discount tickets are available to Fryā€™s for $14. Come out and celebrate the arrival of fall!

Tempe Oktoberfest

Three days of live music, food, beer and shopping as Four Peaks Brewery sponsors this yearā€™s Tempe Oktoberfest and debuts a German lager. The festival includes activities for all ages from carnival rides, concessions, dachshund races, polka fest, beer and wine garden and a 5k fun run. The party starts on October 11 and goes until October 13 at Tempe Beach Park. Gather your friends and join the Oktoberfest festivities for free on October 11 starting at 5pm.

Fun Farms Corn Maze

The fun starts at Fun Farms Corn Maze where you can challenge yourself and family and friends to finding your way in a six acre corn maze sans GPS. The maze is packed with twists and turns that will surely get you and challenge your sense of direction. Children 3 and under are free, all others are $8. The fun goes from Thursday-Sunday nights every weekend until Halloween.

Arizona Broadway Theater

Hairspray the musical is coming to the Arizona Broadway Theater from October 11-November 10. A story about a teenager in Baltimore who has one desire: to dance on the popular Corny Collins Show. Winner of the 2002 TONY Award for Best Musical, a family-friendly show, and the ultimate feel-good musical! Bring the whole family and enjoy the show!

Artlink First Fridays

The first Friday of every month from 6-10pm, downtown Phoenix turns into the largest, self-guided art tour. More than 70 galleries, venues and art-related spaces participate and open their doors to share artwork and culture for all. A free shuttle runs during the event and starts at the Phoenix Art Museum.

Night Flight Golf

Escape the heat with some night time golf at Palo Verde Golf Course. The 9-hole course will be lined with glow lights and each player will be given glow necklaces. Night golf will be run in a tournament format as a four-person scramble and include fun prizes and a goodie bag for each player. Palo Verde Golf Course is offering Night Flight Golf on September 20 and October 26, times vary.
