Hometown: Phoenix, AZ
First job: My first summer job in high school was at a river rafting company in Lake Tahoe. I think that is when I really got the bug for lakes, rivers and forests!
Favorite AZ restaurant: I love our neighborhood restaurant, Twisted Grove, which is owned by a high school friend of mine. The twisted noodle salad, creative cocktails and cozy community atmosphere are fantastic.
Person who has impacted your life the most: I am having a difficult time picking just one person! There have been so many that have impacted my life, but particularly my family, dear friends and colleagues. My parents and grandparents have been an incredible inspiration in my entrepreneurial journey, as well as my journey as a mom.
Your biggest accomplishment in your eyes: I would have to say becoming an entrepreneur and getting Find Your Influence, Inc. off the ground five years ago is an accomplishment I am grateful for. There was an incredible amount of unknown during the initial days of forming the company as first time entrepreneurs, but what we did know was that influencer marketing was the next game changing digital strategy for brands and a technology solution was essential. Today we are an industry leader in a booming space, working with many of the top Fortune 500 to Fortune 5000 brands and are fortunate to work with very talented influencers on a daily basis.
The biggest obstacle you have overcome: My biggest obstacle that I have worked to overcome is learning how to trust my intuition both on a personal and professional level. It really is our internal navigation system and learning to tap into it, after a couple detours, has changed my life in such a positive way.
Someone who inspires you: My three year old son, Brady, inspires me on a daily basis. As parents, we laugh when our children laugh. We smile when they smile. He continuously reminds me what it’s like to be happy with the simple things in life and shows me how beautiful it is to live in the moment.
Favorite quote: “Everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you’re climbing it.”
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: As a marketer and entrepreneur, the biggest piece of advice I could give is to never be afraid to ask for help and to find an incredible mentor or two. The things we learn from hands on experience, as well as through the wisdom of others is invaluable.
What makes someone fabulous: In my opinion, a fabulous person is someone who is respectful to everyone, authentic, generous, looks out for others, makes the best of any situation, has found something to be passionate about, is humble and lives life with integrity and a positive outlook.
