Hometown: Houston, TX (Born); University Place/Tacoma, Washington

Favorite AZ restaurant: RKidds Pizza and Wings (35th ave and Northern) is my favorite AZ restaurant because it is a “mom and pop” restaurant with the best lunch specials. When I walk in, they know I place an order of 5 honey bbq wings, fries and Mango Arizona for $5.50.

Person who has impacted your life the most: I call her “ChayChay.” One of my longest and deepest friendship. Chay Turner is one of my many life influences. She has been present in my life through some of the most challenging times of our lives and and ALWAYS pushes through no matter the situation. She is one of my biggest supporters. Chay is a reminder of why I continue along my journey of making an imprint in the lives of others. I value and love her deeply!

Your biggest accomplishment in your eyes: My largest accomplishment is continuing to remain in action. I am on an assignment to bridge generational gaps between women, leading them to a higher standard of personal empowerment. This is significant because DiscoverHer’s multigenerational focus has not been mastered before on a global scale. Most recently, I had my first international speaker debut in the country of Dubai. Additionally, my team and I are preparing to host the premiere multigenerational women’s empowerment experience, The Woman In Action Conference 2018 on Saturday, April 21, 2018 (8am-5pm) in Phoenix, AZ. The Woman In Action Conference leads women to a higher standard of personal empowerment. Bringing together creative, trailblazing, entrepreneurial and professional women allows us to bridge the communication and relationship gaps across generations. This collaborative and transformative experience unites women as they take authority and action in their lives. This will be next level expansion for all attendees, regardless of age. The women and our allies, come for the experience and leave armed with the tools to prosper in every aspect of life.

The biggest obstacle you have overcome: From adoption, several forms of abandonment, sexual assault, juvenile detention, substance misuse and dependency, promiscuity, obtaining a 0.96 GPA as a high school freshman, and much more, I had to choose to no longer be defined by my situation or life experience. I discovered that I had in me what I needed to identity and overcome the adversity I faced by becoming who I needed in my life.

Someone who inspires you: I hope this doesn’t sound cliche, but Oprah is someone who inspires me. In actuality, it is more Oprah’s journey to success. Her resiliency, tenacity, discipline, and willingness to continue to figure things out unless she discovered what worked for her. This journey allowed her to become the global, world-renowned inspiration.

Favorite quote: “You cannot avoid suffering, but you can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose” -Viktor Frankl

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: My advice to someone pursuing a career path in coaching, speaking, or entrepreneurship is to trust the longevity of your process.

What makes someone fabulous: Being themselves, unapologetically makes a person fabulous. I am a firm believer that we have every single thing in us that we need to execute our greatness. We must remain willing, accountable, and distinctive.
