Each week we will be highlighting one of the fabulous emerging designers from Phoenix Fashion Week 2018. This week, meet MaryElizabeth Stewart, the Designer of Rockin Street Wear, a brand creating classic streetwear for the Social trendsetter.
Hometown: Scottsdale
First fashion job: Making jewelry such as personalized photo necklaces I do photography and I was putting the photos i took into necklaces.
When did you know you had a passion for fashion: I’ve always loved fashion when i was a teen thats when i first started customizing and designing my own clothes
Person who has impacted your life the most: My mom shes always encouraging me shes not just my mom shes my friend.
Your biggest fashion accomplishment in your eyes: Being selected as Phx Fashion Week Emerging Designer Im so excited and thankful to be apart of it.
The biggest obstacle you have overcome: My biggest obstacle was getting a reliable person on board to lighten the load. I now have my sister that is completely focused and passionate about growing the brand as my assistant where, before she was a student. I now have more time to focus on designs.
A designer who inspires you: Donatella Versace she is just so amazing!

Advice to someone pursuing a career in fashion as a designer: Don’t give up
