First job: I worked as a Hostess/busser/prep cook at my aunt and uncle’s restaurant when I was 14! I was in love with being in the kitchen helping prep soups and specials for the weekend.
Favorite AZ restaurant: I would have to say Citizen Public House, their pastrami pork belly is amazing and they have great hand-crafted cocktails!
Person who has impacted your life the most: In my personal life I would have to say my parents, they have taught me to never give up and have always supported me!
In my professional life I would have to say Ed Moro, he was the first chef that I worked for when I got out of culinary school and he made me push myself harder than I knew was possible.
Your biggest accomplishment in your eyes: Creating an environment where people are happy and excited to come into work. I have worked many jobs where it wasn’t a positive work environment and it really takes a toll on you. We spend so much time at work that I want it to be a place that is positive and fun!
The biggest obstacle you have overcome: Finding staff and running the kitchen while being a prep and a line cook during busy season was difficult! It was a rough couple of months but now we have an amazing team.
Someone who inspires you: Honestly, my team! I get to teach them and watch them grow, and it is so amazing and inspiring to watch how excited they get when we change a menu item, run a special or when they learn a new technique.

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Never give up, and always have fun! This is not an easy career, it will push you to your limit every day, but if you love what you do, then it doesn’t really seem like work at all!
What you think makes someone fabulous: I think what makes someone fabulous is how they carry themselves through the worst situations.
