Fabulous People: Ashley Leroux

Ashley Leroux is the business development manager of Jigsaw Health, a family-owned nutritional supplement company with a belief that “life is too short to feel crappy.” Learn about Ashley Leroux…

Hometown: Cody, Wyoming

First job: My first job was as a barista at a small coffee shop when I was 16. I loved perfecting the froth on my cappuccino and getting to know the regulars. I would always say, “Do you want the usual?” Haha!

Favorite ways to spend your free time in AZ: Pickelball! My husband, Patrick, and I play pickleball for about two hours nearly every single day in Fountain Hills, Scottsdale and Flagstaff (see photo below). It’s such a fun sport, and a great way to make friends and exercise. We’re total pickleball addicts!

Person who has impacted your life the most and why: Roy H. Williams — the Wizard of Ads — has had the single biggest influence on me in my professional career. I’ve learned some invaluable lessons at Wizard Academy, his nonprofit marketing school about how to build a bond with your customers instead of just trying to sell them stuff.

Your biggest accomplishment in your eyes and why: Patrick and I have a musical entertainment background and being able to bridge the gap between health and entertainment at our nutritional supplement company, Jigsaw Health, has been the most rewarding and fun thing I’ve ever done. Every Friday, we publish a fun and “edu-taining” video (sometimes a song) to help our customers learn something new and brighten their day. We call it #FunnyFriday. In the last three years, we’ve produced over 100 videos, and this is bar none the most fun thing that we do with Team Jigsaw each week. Some of our greatest hits can be found on JigsawHealth.com/Videos.

The biggest obstacle you’ve overcome: I got married at the ripe age of 19. It only lasted two years, but it was a rather traumatic experience. It took a lot of courage to end it, but I knew I had to. I believed that I was strong enough to make a good life on my own. Since then, my life has taken many twists and turns, but now I wake up every morning full of gratitude for my husband, business partner and best friend, Patrick Sullivan Jr., who makes it good to be me.

Someone who inspires you and why: Actor, comedian and inspirational speaker, Kyle Cease is definitely someone who inspires me. His book, “I Hope I Screw this Up,” was life-changing for me. It’s all about falling in love with your fears, and following your heart without letting your mind convince you otherwise. When something feels “light,” it’s usually the right thing to do. If it feels “heavy,” it’s likely the wrong path.

Favorite quote: “Win the heart, and the mind will follow.” –Roy H. Williams

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Creativity is an endless well of opportunity. Find your unique voice, and lean into it.

What you think makes someone fabulous: A friendly smile and the way they make people feel.
