Favorite ways to spend your free time in AZ: I love the outdoors. Hiking is a must. I’m an avid runner, and fitness is a big part of my life.

Your biggest accomplishment and why: Becoming an executive chef by the age of 24 and competing on eight Food Network Competition shows so far. I love to work hard and succeed.

The biggest obstacle you overcame: Working my way up through the restaurant industry.

Someone who inspires you and why: Guy Fieri. He’s the king of Food Network. He cares for the restaurant industry and those that work for him. Plus, he’s TV magic.

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Buckle in and get ready to sweat. It’s a long hard road, and you have to want to succeed like you want to breathe.

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I’m a karate black belt. I’ve done a marathon and a classic triathlon.
