Hometown: Sacramento, CA
First job: I was a receptionist at Prudential Realty.
Favorite ways to spend your free time in AZ: I am a foodie, love new places to eat and enjoy a beautiful staycation.
Your biggest accomplishment and why: My biggest accomplishment is going from being a single mom doing everything alone, to meeting the man of my dreams and having a partner who completely supports me, my son and running a medical spa and nonprofit.
The biggest obstacle you overcame: I think that most would have shut down or given up their business during a pandemic, but I know the importance of showing up as a Black woman and minority in our community during these times. Being a medical spa where we are impacting the lives of people of color and focusing on overall health, I know that from the feedback and the results we provide that I am helping people mentally, emotionally and physically.
Someone who inspires you and why: My son’s determination to never give up and keep trying until he gets it inspires me and pushes me further.
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Since I have my academy and helping others to pursue their dreams as a body contour specialist, my advice would be to start now and get ready to step into being a servant leader. You can be a mompreneur and still change people’s lives for the better.
Favorite quote: “To thine own self be true.” –Shakespeare
Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: My favorite color is blue. I might be a girly girl, but I absolutely love the color blue.
What makes someone fabulous: Authenticity.
