Hometown: Chicago, IL

First job: Freelance violinist.

Favorite ways to spend your free time in AZ: I love to workout, explore new recipes to cook with friends, try out new brunch spots, connect with other entrepreneurs and laugh the night away with my friends and family.

Your biggest accomplishment and why: My biggest accomplish to date would be deciding in March of 2021 to relocate and begin a new life in Phoenix, with a goal to expand business and gain additional exposure.

The biggest obstacle you overcame: The first wave of the pandemic was a great obstacle to overcome as it caused business to slow down tremendously, which pushed me to explore creative ways to reach clients and also taught me to adapt to unforeseen circumstances.

Someone who inspires you and why: My father inspires me greatly as an entrepreneur. I didn’t realize it then but being a kid and watching him run businesses as a solo entrepreneur taught me how to prioritize customer service, negotiate business deals and commit to seeing a job through.

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Never stop learning and perfecting your musical craft. Also, remember that music that comes from the heart will always reach the heart.

Favorite quote: “Great things come from hard work and perseverance. No excuses.”

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: For the majority of my life as a violinist, I suffered severely from stage fright.

What makes someone fabulous: A fabulous person is someone who accepts ownership of their imperfections and unfavorable circumstances while realizing that they are neither defined nor confined by them.

I believe Bruce Kirkwood is one of the most fabulous young men I’ve ever known. At such a young age he has proven himself to be a man of God, a very impressive musian and businessman. His musical talents are quite amazing. I listen to him every Tuesday, laughing, crying, singing along, and sometimes even dancing. I always come away with food for thought, entertainment, inspiration, a
relaxation, and a lowered blood pressure, ( no joke, I actually take my BP afterwards). God bless you, Bruce, and may Heaven continue to smile on you!
