Hometown: Chandler

Favorite ways to spend family time in AZ: We love spending time up north in Show Low with my parents. We go fishing, hiking, pickleballing and golfing in the summer and sledding and skiing in the winter.

Your most rewarding fatherhood moment: One of the most rewarding moments we have had as a family is participating in the Feed my Starving Family food event. Coming together with the entire family and showing how giving back makes such a big impact for people you may never meet.

Biggest challenge as a dad: In 2021, Jaxon was 2 and very curious. One day, Jaxon snuck into his parents’ bathroom and opened a pill bottle, swallowing a dozen before putting it back just as Mommy came in, unaware anything happened. Over the next hour, he got very ill. And then worse. Within hours, we had to rush Jaxon to the local hospital. He began seizing. Given COVID protocols, only one parent could be with Jaxon at a time, even as he was incubated. The hospital soon realized it did not have the infrastructure to help Jaxon, so he was moved to Phoenix Children’s Hospital as a last hope. Despite early worries of brain damage, after four days in the ICU, PHC pulled off a miracle. Today, Jaxon has made a full recovery. Inspired, I made a vow to support PCH in its mission to save children; to save families. I began the rigorous process to join PCH 50, earning an appointed in 2023. Among my first projects was helping raise $2 million to outfit the hospital with proper ambulances for toddlers.

A father who inspires you and why: Of course, it would have to be my father, John. He has shown me the meaning of hard work, family dedication and core values that have helped me in my own family and business.

Best piece of advice for a new dad: Always support your kids in whatever endeavors they get in to and lead with kindness and love.

Your biggest hope for your children: To find happiness in their own paths and create a family of their own.

How are you celebrating Father’s Day? Barbecuing at our house with our entire extended family.
