Favorite ways to spend family time in AZ: My son loves to be outside, so we relish any opportunity as a family to spend time together outdoors.
Your most rewarding fatherhood moment: There have been many incredible moments, but for me, one of the most unforgettable was seeing my wife hold our son after he was born. We had tried for a long time to have a child, and by God’s grace, we were blessed with an angel.
Biggest challenge as a dad: It’s essential for me to carve out quality time where I can give him my undivided attention. This means setting aside moments where we can engage in activities together. Although that can be challenging at times, the reward is so much greater than the sacrifice.
A father who inspires you and why: My father has always been a very positive figure in my life. Throughout my life, he’s always shown me grace, even when I probably didn’t deserve it. It’s a very admirable trait that I will carry on with my family and son.
Best piece of advice for a new dad: Having a child reveals both the best and worst in yourself. Striving for perfection, though an altruistic goal, often leads to imperfect execution. Children highlight your strengths and weaknesses, but the upside is they also show you what you can continually improve. As my son grows, learns and tests boundaries, I find myself doing the same within myself.
Your biggest hope for your children: My wife and I have only one goal for our children: to experience happiness and fulfillment in order to equip them to lead balanced and meaningful lives and pass their values on to their own children..
How are you celebrating Father’s Day? Staycation with my family and golf with my father.
