Mom to: Mason, 4
Hometown: Scottsdale
Favorite ways to spend family time in AZ: Riding our Phat Scooters or golf cart around the neighborhood and playing sports outside. Right now my kiddo is super into playing basketball.
Your most rewarding motherhood moment: As a mom, you need to be strong both physically and mentally. You need to be strong in your values and what you instill in your kiddos. When I work out and eat healthy, it isn’t just for me anymore; it’s to lead by example to make health and fitness part of our lifestyle as a family. My 4-year-old loves to join in on workouts, asks me if I worked out today, talks about how certain food makes him “big and strong” and, to me, that is so rewarding as a mother.
Biggest challenge as a mom: Having energy to do it all and do it well! To be the best mom, wife, friend, business owner, trainer, etc.
A mother who inspires you and why: Moms who continue to follow their dreams and passions after having kids. It can be easy to lose yourself, but I think its so cool for kids to see their parents still going after things they want.
Best piece of advice for a new mom: Everyone always tells you it goes fast, and it truly does! Although sometimes it can feel like survival mode, try to slow down and embrace every stage, age and moment. Also, give yourself grace; no one has it all figured out. As long as you are trying your best and loving your kiddo, that’s all you can do.
Your biggest hope for your children: Happiness! With all the stress and pressure in the world, I don’t care if he’s the president or selling pineapples on the beach, as long as he is happy and has a good soul and is kind to people, that’s all that matters to me.
How are you celebrating Mother’s Day? Morning cuddles and brunch.
