Hometown: Globe-Miami, AZ.
First job: At 14, I started working the concession stand at Hollis Movie Theatres. It was a family affair as my brother, Alex, ran the movie projector, and I was known to make the best buttered popcorn in town.
Favorite ways to spend your free time in AZ: Nothing beats quality time spent with my family and friends – especially time spent with my three boys – Nick (husband), Mateo (son), and Bali (our Chihuahua). Whether we’re cheering Mateo on during a soccer game, snuggled up on the couch, or spending time in the mountains of Flagstaff or on the beach in Rocky Point – these are the moments I cherish.
Your biggest accomplishment and why: Launching Flutter Public Relations. I’ve worked tirelessly for 25 years doing PR in Phoenix, working at many big agencies that have ultimately led me to fly solo with a team of 12 amazing professionals beside me. Life couldn’t be any better than it is right now, and I feel very blessed.
The biggest obstacle you overcame: Juggling it all has been challenging, but I believe I’ve found my true rhythm in life. I consider myself the queen of multitasking and organization; the dots on my calendar are numerous yet intentional. As a full-time working mom, a loving wife, and a caring daughter and sister, I take my responsibilities seriously. I wear many hats, and I wear them proudly.
Someone who inspires you and why: My mom. She’s taught me to never give up on the things and ones you love. Having her in my corner means everything to me. We’re not perfect at times, but we’re truly lifelong besties.
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Work hard and be nice to people. If you can accomplish these two things, the rest will fall into place.
Favorite quote: “Some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what’s going to happen next.” – Gilda Radner
Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I was runner-up in the Miss Teen Arizona Pageant in the 90s.
What makes someone fabulous: Faith, kindness, and a little bit of grit.
