Hometown: Orange County, California—The City of Orange.
First job: When I turned 15, I was a busboy at Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant in California. I also did a newspaper route, mowed lawns and washed cars for my neighbors—I did it all!
Favorite ways to spend your free time in AZ: Sunday funday with friends and family with some tequila and barbecue.
Your biggest accomplishment and why: Marrying my wife Kacey has to be my biggest accomplishment. Also, buying Tequila Corrido to fulfill the legacy that the late founder of Tequila Corrido, Brad Hoover, had left behind. Being able to enter traditional distribution among six states and direct to consumers in 38 states has definitely been a highlight.
The biggest obstacle you overcame: Launching Tequila Corrido Añejo during the middle of the pandemic was a challenge, especially with the supply chain. We found a solution by utilizing recyclable glass.
Someone who inspires you and why: My wife Kacey is an inspiration to me. She is an amazing sounding board, and she is constantly helping me with the businesses. The way she can hear my side and then redirect is incredibly valuable to me.
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Don’t plan on sleeping, never take no for an answer, rejection should never get in the way of your dreams, and you must surround yourself with people who believe in you.
Favorite quote: “Sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.” –Lewis Carroll
Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I really enjoy being with my family and kids. My son Hudson and daughter Everlee are my two favorite people in the world.
What makes someone fabulous?: Being themselves and loving tequila.
