Hometown: Scottsdale, AZ
First job: Hollister, Co. at 16 years old. I remember I made $5.25 an hour, and it was my job to greet every person that walked in.
Favorite ways to spend your free time in AZ: I love anything in the sunshine. A few of my favorites are outdoor yoga, hiking with my puppies, helping my husband on his food truck, gardening or a weekend at CIVANA Wellness Resort & Spa.
Your biggest accomplishment and why: Trusting my intuition to make the jump from corporate desk life to yoga and wellness full-time. There’s nothing more rewarding than guiding other people toward a healthy lifestyle and every single day I get to wake up and live my passion, I am so grateful.
The biggest obstacle you overcame: My fear of public speaking. I used to get nervous standing in a room of 10 people and now I have made my way to teaching 900 people in the Diamondbacks stadium with the most inspiring part being what other people take away from their experience.
Someone who inspires you and why: My dad, Marty. From a young age, he always taught me, “Try your hardest, follow your heart and, most of all, have fun.”
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Go for it! Learn as much as you can, say yes often and surround yourself with positive people. You won’t have everything figured out, but trust that the universe has your back and put yourself out there in growth oriented scenarios. You’ll look back down the mountain and be so proud of what you can accomplish.
Favorite quote: “What if I fall?” Oh but my darling, What if you fly?” –Erin Hanson
Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I was a level 8 state champion competitive gymnast. Also, I may or may not be the Cold Stone commercial mom.
What makes someone fabulous: Inner beauty and being kind to all.
