Favorite ways to spend your free time in AZ: I love cycling in Arizona because it has some of the best cycling trails and views in the country.
Your biggest accomplishment and why: My biggest accomplishment is being married to my fabulous wife, Mirlande, as she makes me a better person.
The biggest obstacle you overcame: As someone who spent 30 years in the hospitality industry, I would say COVID-19 was one of my biggest obstacles. The pandemic impacted many aspects, not just the hospitality industry but the entire world. Opening W Nashville also presented its own challenges during uncertain times.
Someone who inspires you and why: My son, Liam, inspires me because he never gives up despite being nonverbal. His determination and spirit motivate me to be better and never let obstacles hold me back.
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: In hospitality, things can change quickly — from guest expectations to industry trends or unexpected challenges. My advice is to have patience, keep an open mind, and always be ready to pivot. Being flexible and adaptable is key to thriving in this dynamic field.

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: Growing up in Ireland, I was a career Boy Scout. I participated in scouting, and as I got older, I continued my involvement as a Venture Scout, which is a program for teens and adults.
