First job: My first job was serving up ice cream and smiles at a McDonald’s in Mesa.
Favorite ways to spend your free time in AZ: I love living in Arizona because I can golf year-round, and we are 90 minutes from ski areas in the winter.
Your biggest accomplishment and why: My biggest accomplishment is restoring and building confidence in the lives of others. Making a real difference through surgery and aesthetics is incredibly rewarding. Additionally, I’ve been honored as a “Top Doc” by Phoenix Magazine for over 20 years.
The biggest obstacle you overcame: Managing, motivating, inspiring, and leading a large team through the ups and downs of the pandemic has been one of the most significant obstacles we’ve overcome.
Someone who inspires you and why: My parents are certainly my strongest mentors and always encouraged me to find passion in my personal and professional life. I also have a business coach for the last 12 years, Jay Geier; he has tremendously impacted how I view my personal, experienced, and business goals.
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: For anyone starting in the industry, I emphasize the importance of continuous learning and keeping up with the latest trends and innovations. It’s crucial to understand your purpose and excel at telling your story. I recommend reading books like “The Perfect Plan” by Don Barden and “Influence” by Robert Cialdini to help guide you.
Favorite quote: “Success is something you attract by the person you’ve become.” —Jim Rohn
Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: People might be surprised to know that I was born in Germany.
What makes someone fabulous: Creating a culture around serving others and showing gratitude makes someone fabulous. As a founder, I’ve learned that selflessly supporting others’ growth, prioritizing the collective good, and demonstrating empathy are key elements. Understanding and expressing gratitude for others’ contributions strengthens relationships and fosters mutual respect. These principles amplify a leader’s positive impact by uplifting and empowering those around them. I’ve built Gawley Companies around the 3 C’s: a culture of collaboration, clinical excellence, and client experience. Embracing these values has been crucial in better supporting each other and fostering a collaborative, thriving environment. This approach ensures that we achieve our goals and help others reach theirs, creating a ripple effect of success and fulfillment.
