Favorite ways to spend your free time in AZ: Paddleboarding down the Salt River, watching the wild horses, catching the best desert sunset and enjoying “happy hour beach” with friends.
Your biggest accomplishment and why: Running a full marathon in Nassau, Bahamas! I joined a running group called Hash House Harriers and was inspired to train for 26.2 miles. The feeling when I crossed the finish line was indescribable – so was the celebratory mimosa!
The biggest obstacle you overcame: Changing careers as a result of the pandemic. I was in the travel and tourism industry which faced a loss over $1 trillion and more than 100 million jobs were eliminated – including mine. The silver lining is that it led me to a new passion in real estate where I am able to help people every day and truly feel like I am making a difference in the home-buying experience.
Someone who inspires you and why: My mom. She is the most positive, optimistic, patient, glass-half-full type of person. She inspires me every day to be the best version of myself and spread kindness wherever I go!
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Find the right team! No joke, it is the most important thing you could do. I was fortunate enough to join Monique Walker’s team, and Monique has led by example since day one. She hosts daily training meetings, holds us accountable, and has the right key players in place to ensure every step in the home-buying process is handled professionally, efficiently and without delays. This results in happy clients, repeat business and referrals.
Favorite quote: “Did I tell you, baby…You are the joy of my life” (lyrics from a Chris Stapleton). With a voice like his, I could literally listen to him just read the newspaper. I think we should choose joy, spread joy and find joy in the world.
Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I played ladies tackle football in college – full pads! No messing around!
