Hometown: Currently Cave Creek, AZ; Originally Rutland, VT

First job: Outside of being part of a family business my whole life? A Front Desk Manager of Health Club.

Favorite AZ restaurant: Mastros because they do everything right.

Person who has impacted your life the most: My parents because they gave me a rock solid, unshakable, make-no-excuses, relentlessly tenacious work ethic. Their impact was all about example versus dictatorship, which resulted in the ultimate combination of knowledge and love that paved a path of confidence that dictated all my endeavors.

Your biggest accomplishment in your eyes: Being a solid example of a successful female Artist, Business Woman and Community leader. Why? Because that is how it should be.

The biggest obstacle you have overcome: I don’t think there has been any one big thing that I have had to overcome. There have been a lot of struggles of all shapes and sizes along my path. Each of us are like birds breaking out of our shell as a baby – we need the struggle to become strong enough to fly. I have come to believe that I have been sent the struggles that are directly proportionate to how strong God needs me to be in order to fly the way he built me to fly. It has become very clear to me over time that every struggle has given me the ability to move forward in a way I would not have been able to move forward had I not had that struggle.

Someone who inspires you: Deborah Bateman owner of Deborah Bateman LLC and the National Bank of Arizona Chair for being a serious business woman and a true lady. Deborah is a truly local example of the kind of leader I want to be who is not afraid to #riskblossoming!

Favorite quote: So many – I have at least two:
“One cannot consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar.” ~ Helen Keller
“When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, ‘I used everything you gave me’.” ~ Erma Bombeck

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: If God (or whatever you believe in that hung the stars in the sky) put a longing in your heart to be great at something, and it does not go away with time, and in fact gets louder with time; you simply must do that thing. Our whole job here on this earth is to find the vocation or the purpose we were built for whatever that is and to do it with all our heart and soul. Each of us were put here with gifts that only we can give the world. If you have done that with your life there is no failure. All that is required is that we show up 120%. Ultimately, the results are nothing or your vocational destiny. Shout your truth from the roof tops and let go.

What makes someone fabulous: Anyone who has passion for something and pursues that something 120% is fabulous to me! As a bonus, if that something is great for the community, creates jobs and otherwise lifts up humanity that is fabulous in a transcendent state!
