Hometown: I grew up just outside of Newport Beach in Orange County, CA raised by my incredible grandparents, moving to Tempe, Arizona during High School.

First job: Working at my grandfather’s Barbershop in Tustin, CA sweeping up hair and cleaning, although my official first job was as supervisor at a local discount movie theater as a senior in high school.

Favorite AZ restaurant: It is so hard to choose since there are so many wonderful dining options around the valley, love eating at Federal Pizza with my family or having a great date night with the hubby at La Bocca.

Person(s) who has impacted your life the most: My grandparents Richard and Maxine Bertich are a huge influence and support in my life. Having raised me when my parents could not (and did not want to), they were true models of love, compassion, and hard work instilling in me strong values and work ethic.

Your biggest accomplishment in your eyes: My family, my incredible husband of almost 15 years and my three beautiful and smart children (Connor 8, Drake 7, Ava 5).

The biggest obstacle you have overcome: My parents fought drug and alcohol addictions my entire adolescence, which made life challenging to say the least. Through the struggles and hardships, I found my strength and desire to rise above that pain and be the best version of me that I could be.

Someone who inspires you: My husband Robb Royse inspires me everyday, he is brilliant, hard working, funny, and kind always providing our family with unconditional love and support. Also my three children (Connor, Drake, Ava) who inspire me to be the best version of myself and push me to strive for more so I am able to give them opportunities and experiences I did not have growing up.

Favorite quote: “I am learning everyday to allow space between where I am and where I want to be to inspire me and not terrify me.”

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Work hard, don’t give up and forge your own path. If knowledge and ability aren’t enough, always work hard and be persistent.

What makes someone fabulous? Kindness, strength, confidence and tenacity and not necessarily in that order!
