First job: I started babysitting when I was 12 years old. I always looked and acted more mature than my age. One of the moms I worked for freaked out after she found out I was only 12 and I had already been babysitting her kids a bunch of times.
Favorite AZ restaurant: Culinary Dropout because of the great food, great atmosphere!
Person who has impacted your life the most: My son, Garrett. He is an amazing human being with a very different in personality from me and taught me how to value the differences between people as much as the similarities!
Your biggest accomplishment in your eyes: Raising my son as a single mother, while juggling a career as an engineering executive. My son is always my highest priority, but striving to be successful at both taught me a tremendous amount about time management, resilience, and determination!
The biggest obstacle you have overcome:Becoming a successful engineering executive in a male-dominated world.
Someone who inspires you: Pat Tillman. I had the opportunity to meet his mother after he died and learned a lot about him. He was as successful in academics as he was in football. He was committed to using his fame to help others. He sacrificed his million dollar NFL career to defend our country and paid the ultimate price. He was a man driven to act not for himself, but to do what he thought would make this world better. A true American Hero!

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do:Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart!! Only spend time and energy on those things you can influence. So many people spend time and energy worrying about things outside their control. This is self-defeating. Focus on those things you can impact.
What you think makes someone fabulous: Integrity, kindness, and perseverance…you can’t fail with those traits!!
