Hometown: Born in Chicago, raised in Fountain Hills, Arizona
First job: After babysitting all through high school, I worked the front desk at one of the advising offices at Arizona State University while attending school. I was also in charge of setting up and managing the advising center’s social media accounts. It was my first time using social media strategically, and I absolutely loved it.
Favorite ways to spend your free time in AZ: There are so many amazing restaurants in Arizona. I love enjoying a good meal and cocktail with friends on a patio…especially if they allow dogs.
Your biggest accomplishment and why: I think my biggest accomplishment has been my recent promotion at The McRae Agency. Being at the agency has helped me achieve so many milestones in my career. I can’t express enough how grateful I am for my fearless leader, Beth McRae, who has challenged me, mentored me and helped me prepare for this next step.
The biggest obstacle you overcame: Age bias/being judged by how “young” I look. I’ve learned that confidence is key and to just trust myself, own my accomplishments and remember that I do have the skills and expertise.
Someone who inspires you and why: My mom and sister have always both been my biggest inspirations. They have supported and encouraged me to constantly keep learning and challenging myself.
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Finding an internship and a mentor is a great way to get started. Remember, the power of relationships is infinite, whether it’s collaborating with media members, connecting with coworkers or meeting industry peers.

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I’ll never say no to karaoke. Also, although I may look it, I’m not Irish. I am a first-generation American; my mom emigrated from Iran and my dad from Italy.
