First job: My very first job was in middle school working for my dad in his office during the summer. I answered the phones, filed, learned how to write a check, and also acted as receptionist. In healthcare, my first job was working as a patient care technician in the Intensive Care Unit. It solidified my desire to help people.
Favorite AZ restaurant: Tarbells. Besides the food being amazing and loving the atmosphere and staff, I have had a lot of big moments there. One of them being my engagement party.
Person who has impacted your life the most: My husband. He gives me great advice and keeps me calm. He is a great sounding board for new ideas and always can help me think through a problem.
Your biggest accomplishment in your eyes: I’m proud of my business. Not only is it hard to go into independent practice, but I also enjoy it and have a thriving practice. It is always challenging and evolving, and I am proud of what it accomplishes.
The biggest obstacle you have overcome: It is tough to balance home life, kids, volunteer work, church, being involved in parent activities, starting two charities and support groups, and running a business. Keeping things going and staying happy and true to my goals is a challenge, but it drives me.
Someone who inspires you: My parents constantly inspire me. They are accomplished, fun, and love challenges. I hope to be like them.
Favorite quote: “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts” – Winston S. Churchill.
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Take one step at a time and treat every patient like your VIP patient.
What you think makes someone fabulous: Confidence and kindness
