Breaking motorsports speed and gender barriers, Valerie could be the first woman to break the 417.020 mph record for a four-wheel blown fuel streamliner at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah beginning Aug. 10 during the SCTA Speed Week land speed racing competition. Person who has impacted your life the most: American Motorcycle Association Hall of Fame member, Denis Manning. He is a world-class engineer, designer and builder who has already held the world’s fastest motorcycle title three times. He designed and built the BUB 7 Streamliner that I race with the Team 7 Racing group based in Grass Valley California.
Your biggest accomplishment in your eyes: Racing for the world’s fastest motorcycle title with Denis Manning’s team and achieving the world’s fastest female motorcycle rider title at 328 mph.
The biggest obstacle you have overcome: Finding the right person to believe in our race program and step up with team funding! We offer a wide variety of marketing and PR opportunities at a cost much less then other racing series while delivering a worldwide audience who have a passion for motorsports.
Someone who inspires you: Denis Manning – our Team 7 Racing leader. Denis is the biggest blessing of my life and I’m grateful for all his support over the past few years. I appreciate his help, encouragement, advice and dedication to my safety.
Favorite quote: I have two: “The best protection any woman can have… IS COURAGE!” My second one is: “My makeup is 328 MPH proof!”
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Set achievable goals, buy the best equipment you can afford and ignore critics and naysayers. Have confidence in yourself and never give up! Find sponsors you have a passion for promoting, it leads to long term relationships.
