Hometown: While I was born in the South of Georgia, I consider Sedona my hometown. Sedona is magical, with breathtaking red rocks, endless outdoor adventures, and deep spiritual roots.

First job: At 14, I launched Sedona Reservations, a full-service travel company ahead of its time—an early forerunner to Expedia. I curated seamless, high-end travel experiences, handling every detail from transportation and accommodations to dining and activities. I sold the company when I was 17.

Favorite ways to spend your free time in AZ: As an avid horseback rider, I find pure joy in riding through the desert, taking in the raw beauty of the landscape. Whether exploring hidden trails, spending time with my horses, or enjoying the vibrant sunsets, being outdoors is my way of recharging and staying connected to nature.

Your biggest accomplishment and why: One of the most significant accomplishments of my life was a covert mission to rescue a group of young women in Afghanistan three and a half years ago. My husband and I received a call during the week that the United States left Afghanistan, informing us that the Taliban were targeting a group of 147 women. If they did not leave the country, their lives would be at risk. After three rescue attempts, we were ultimately successful on the last one. These young women, who faced unimaginable adversity, now have access to safety, education, and opportunities they never thought possible. Knowing that I played a role in reshaping their futures fills me with immense pride and purpose.

The biggest obstacle you overcame: When I was 20, I discovered two children abandoned in an apartment. The boys were 12 and 13 years old, and their parents had been deported. One day, the boys came home from school, only to find that no one had returned for them. Raising these two incredible children has been both the most challenging and rewarding experience of my life.

Adoption comes with unique struggles, including navigating trauma, earning trust, and creating a stable foundation. However, through unconditional love, patience, and resilience, we built a family that is stronger than I ever imagined. In fact, I met my husband because of the boys. I argued with their field hockey coach, but in the end, it all worked out—he proposed to me six months later.

Someone who inspires you and why: Maharani Gayatri Devi, an extraordinary woman far ahead of her time. As an Indian royal in the mid-1900s, she defied societal norms, advocating for women’s education, independence, and equal rights long before it was widely accepted. She was a skilled equestrian, a fierce leader, and a visionary who stepped into spaces where women were rarely allowed.

Advice for someone pursuing a career in entrepreneurship: Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart—it demands relentless commitment, adaptability, and resilience. If you have a vision, pursue it with everything you have. The road will be filled with incredible highs and humbling lows, but every challenge is an opportunity to grow.

Favorite quote: “You make a living by what you get, but a life by what you give.” – Winston Churchill

Something surprising about you: TouchPoint Solution was born from a deeply personal experience—my daughter’s struggle with night terrors. Watching her suffer pushed me to dive into neuroscience, eventually leading to the discovery of TouchPoint technology. I never set out to be a scientist, but necessity turned me into one, and now that same innovation is helping thousands of people worldwide find relief from stress and anxiety.

What makes someone fabulous? Fabulous people go beyond expectations. They show up, put in the extra effort, and bring passion and purpose to everything they do.
