Restaurant of the Week: Stingray Sushi

From start to finish, Stingray Sushi offers great service and delicious food and drink in a relaxed atmosphere suitable for everyone – adults, kids, foodies, and even the sushi-shy.

Start with the Gyoza, mouth-watering pork dumplings that could only be made more perfect by dipping them in their signature citrus-infused soy sauce. Sip on a refreshing Kiwi Collins or a Tokyo Stock Exchange – think Moscow mule meets a mojito. Enjoy the dumplings, cocktails, house maki and MORE menu items half price during Happy Hour, everyday 2:30-6:30 and all day Sundays.

Stingray Sushi draws from Latin influences with their rock shrimp and lobster tacos. Expect a generous portion of fish piled high with fresh cabbage, jalapeño/tomato confetti, drizzled with a spicy aoli.

The sushi and sashimi menu insert is provided for your ordering convenience with specialty maki descriptions. One specialty maki not to be missed is the Godzilla Roll. Though green and tall like its namesake, the Godzilla Roll harmoniously unites “one of everything” – soft shell crab, shrimp tempura, crab mix, spicy tuna, avocado and cucumber with unagi sauce. The Original Lollipop comes adorably presented as sushi on a skewer: perfectly circular cucumber-wrapped tuna, salmon, crab, massago, with ponzu sauce.

To warm your insides, try the Tokyo Mule – plum sake and ginger beer partner up in a mug. If that doesn’t do the trick, order the vegetable or seafood noodle dish. The bright and crisp vegetables complement smooth soba noodles in flavorful brown broth. At this point in the meal, our kind server brought forks, explaining the “noodles can be tricky” and essentially giving us permission to slurp up our noodles however we wanted.

Stingray Sushi not only accommodates noodle-slurpers like us. They also accommodate corporate events, parties, and children with their very own customizable bento boxes. Whether you come at the designated Happy Hour or not, your palate and all guests in your party are sure to experience a happy hour (or stay for two!) at Stingray Sushi.
