Restaurant of the Week: KOVO

KOVO is a brand new Modern Mediterranean restaurant located in Paradise Valley, serving up traditional cuisines of the Mediterranean region, combined with new world flare and ingredients.

The 4,000 square foot restaurant located at Tatum and Shea has a modern design with an open and airy feel. There is a wrap-around indoor/outdoor bar with a large patio as well. Perfect for the cooler weather months.

The menu at KOVO highlights a wide selection of cuisine from the Mediterranean region. The Greek word, KOVO, translates “to carve”, and as such rotisserie meats are predominately displayed in the open kitchen and are served in signature entrees.

For appetizers, we highly recommend the Dip Trio, which includes tzatziki, crazy feta and choice of hummus. There are also a variety of Bruschetta options to choose from, including Avocado Spread with Arugula & Feta and Prosciutto with Fig Jam & Brie. For a sharable appetizer or entree, the wood-fired oven produces crispy pizzas, such as the Napoletana, Blanca, and Della Carne.

More classic Mediterranean cuisine options include Kebab skewers of grilled chicken or teak, onions, peppers, served with israeli couscous, a Greek Salad or a Lamb Burger made with freshly ground lamb, feta, baby arugula, tomato, onion and tzatziki. One of our favorite dishes on the menu was the Wood-fired Salmon – it was cooked to perfection.

They also have a separate takeout area featuring an assortment of homemade sweet and savory pastries, including spanakopita, baklava, and bougatsa, plus fresh Greek yogurt creations and coffee.

Guests can enjoy Happy Hour Monday – Friday 3-6pm and $20 Wine & Bruschetta on Mondays and Tuesdays after 8pm.

KOVO is open for lunch and dinner starting at 11am 7 days a week.
