Cartwright’s Modern Cuisine, located in Cave Creek, is an upscale restaurant serving New American fare in a rustic, ranch-themed setting that gives a nod to its historic roots.
Named after the Cartwright family, who helped build Cave Creek and the Phoenix area in the 1800’s, the restaurant serves modern cuisine that uses regional ingredients to preserve Arizona’s heritage.
Brett Vibber, who is now the owner and executive chef of Cartwright’s, is extremely passionate about food. His thoughtful and unique menu and the culinary experience he hopes to deliver his guests makes his passion very apparent. Vibber is an Arizona native who has traveled the world and brought his culinary experiences back home.
Open for dinner nightly, Cartwright’s menu offers high quality meats and seafood paired with local and sustainably sourced ingredients. We were happy to see they also offer a gluten free and vegan menu.
For the ultimate Cartwright’s experience, we highly recommend what is called The Arizona Omakase. The cost is $85 and the kitchen will create a one of a kind dining experience that will feature a tasting menu that is always changing and truly embraces all that Cartwright’s has to offer. Add a wine pairing for just $35.
The menu offers Sushi/Cold Bar dishes such as a Spicy Tuna Roll, a Sashimi Platter and Seasonal Oysters. Appetizers include Venison Meat Balls and Dungeness Crab Cakes. For entrees, you’ll find Bolognese, Pork Shoulder, sustainable seafood and great cuts of beef.
Cartwright’s is open daily 4pm to 9pm, with happy hour 4-6pm every day.
