Restaurant of the Week: Mastro’s Steakhouse

Mastro’s Steakhouse in North Scottsdale is the first of the Mastro’s concepts, opening in 1999. Being the original, this location has an extra sense of grandeur when you enter.

One of the things we love most about this location is the sunset views you can catch through the windows if you’re sitting on the west side of the building.

Mastro’s Steakhouse in North Scottsdale has several private dining options as well, including the The Mastro Room with Chef’s Table. This beautifully decorated private dining room has a floor to ceiling one-way glass wall overlooking the kitchen and seats up to 16 guests. Perfect for an intimate celebration or dinner meeting.

Mastro’s is known for great cocktails and a fabulous wine selection. If you like a good, stiff cocktail, we recommend starting with their dirty martini or old fashioned.

For appetizers, we highly recommend the Ahi Tuna Tartare and the Mastro’s Seafood Tower. The seafood tower allows you to create your own selection of fresh, chilled shellfish presented on their signature iced seafood tower. It’s not only delicious, but a fun and impressive piece for the table.

For entrees, we feel it is a crime to not order one of the perfect cuts of steak Mastro’s offers. There are 12 cuts to choose from, with the filet and the “Chef’s Cut” New York strip being our favorites. There is a long list of delicious sides to choose from as well, including Lobster Mashed Potatoes, Alaskan King Crab Black Truffle Gnocchi and Creamed Spinach, to name a few of our picks.

No Mastro’s meal is complete without Mastro’s Signature Warm Butter Cake for dessert.

Whether it be drinks at the bar with friends, a romantic date or a celebratory dinner, Mastro’s Steakhouse will always guarantee a delicious and memorable evening.
