Restaurant of the Week: Il Bosco Pizza

Il Bosco Pizza is a local, family friendly restaurant in Scottsdale, bringing a little taste of Italy to the desert. It offers a variety of artisanal wood-fired pizzas along with fresh salads and Italian desserts. They pride themselves on quality and always providing the best ingredients possible to their customers. So fresh in fact you may even see them picking fresh herbs from their garden.

Il Bosco Pizza has a lovely outdoor patio furnished with tables and benches to fit your whole party, and lighting that provides a comfortable and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a romantic night, or a family get together. Don’t worry if you have a large family because the patio is also being expanded soon to fit even the largest Italian family.

Their bar has a relaxed atmosphere and a drink selection with everything from red and white wines, to draft and craft bottled beers, and spirits such as Tito‘s vodka and Jamison Irish whiskey along with Bombay Sapphire gin. You can stop in for Happy Hour from 4pm to 5:30pm all week and receive 25% off drinks, apps, and their fresh house salads.

A definite must-try is their Stuffed Peppadew peppers. Roasted in olive oil, stuffed with spicy sausage and finally topped with Parmesan cheese, this is an appetizer that will keep you coming back for happy hour everyday.

The real stars of the show are their wood fired pizzas. Dough and sauce made every day guarantees bold flavor in every bite. Their Biaggia Pizza pairs well with a Chardonnay and has fig jam, prosciutto, goat cheese, mozzarella all on a crispy, wood fired crust and topped with garden fresh arugula, lemon olive oil, and Parmesan cheese. This pizza brings out the best of the sweet and savory flavors.

If you’re in the mood for something that will really rock your taste buds, the Valentina Pizza is a must try. Again, Il Bosco Pizza starts with their toasty crust and top it with savory red sauce, pepperoni, Calabrian chili sauce, mozzarella and finally topped with a honey drizzle. This sweet and spicy pizza will take you on a culinary journey to Italy that will have you begging for more. All of their pizzas can be made with a Gluten Free crust as well.

If you leave room for dessert be sure to try a Classic Italian Canoli or a Creme Brûlée. If you want a cool dessert to beat the heat, their Neapolitan Tartulo is a chocolate covered twist on Spinoni ice cream. A perfectly shareable dessert if you’re looking to dazzle a special someone or let someone know you care, the same way Il Bosco Pizza cares about you.
