Restaurant of the Week: Chauncey Social

Chauncey Social is the newest spot for entertainment, food and fun. It features North Scottsdale’s largest LED wall, perfect for viewing sport games, and booths for a night out with friends. They have a full bar and a menu curated by award winning chef Joe Absolor.

Their cocktail menu was created by Three-time World Record holding Mixologist Sheldon Wiley. It features beautiful cocktails like the Coco Chanel, which tastes like a rich and refined Pina Colada containing Bacardi Superior and hints of pineapple and orange throughout. The seasonal New Fashion is a must-try. Their Old Fashion is always available for those who love the classics, but their seasonal cocktails change throughout the year.

Their bar is stocked with everything from Michelob drafts to Four Peaks IPA, and gluten free White Claws that pair perfectly with their house wings or Hawaiian Short Rib Sliders that have aged white cheddar and jalapeño jam. If you want something more hearty, the CS Burger is a secret recipe with aged cheddar and Claussen pickles all on a brioche bun served with a side of the crispiest fries.

The appetizers and shareable plates are nothing short of delicious. The Ahi Tuna Tostadas are perfect if you want a sushi fix, but also want to try other fare. It has a light avocado cream and wonton chili glaze that complements the tuna so well. Their Mac & Cheese is made with white aged cheddar, so you get a thick and creamy cheese sauce throughout the dish. To finish this cheesy delicacy, Chauncey tops it with breadcrumbs, so every bite has a wonderful crispy finish to it.

Their main courses have something for everyone, like the Pasta Vegetariano that has a rich parmesan and forest mushroom sauce; or Chauncey’s Pickled Beet Salad, containing goat cheese and a fresh lemon vinaigrette. The wild caught Atlantic salmon served with pearl couscous and a walnut cilantro relish comes seared to perfection. Their Hawaiian Steak and Noodle soup is so flavorful and filled with textures from the pickled pineapple, carrots and peanuts that it will make this fun dish one of your new favorites.

Be sure to save room for dessert! The Tollhouse Cookie Pie served a la mode with Vanilla ice cream and a chocolate drizzle is a sinful dessert. The Dipped Key lime Pie topped with fresh whipped cream is a refreshing and light dessert. If you’re celebrating and want to make someone feel like the star of the show, the Colossal Birthday Cupcake will do the job, filled with butter cream and a strawberry compote.

Chauncey Social opens at 3pm daily, with Happy Hour 3-6pm Monday through Friday.
