Restaurant of the Week: The Boozy Breakfast

Phoenix’s newest eatery, The Boozy Breakfast, features decadent brunch options, lunch specials and, of course, an extensive drink menu that includes Bloody Marys and one-of-a-kind craft cocktails.

The concept is the first restaurant to serve breakfast daily at High Street—a charming upscale district composed of speciality boutiques, bars and gourmet restaurants. This corner of the East Valley has a reputation for bustling crowds and an ever-growing nightlife scene. And while the upscale area has no shortage of glamour or flair, The Boozy Breakfast only helps to elevate it through its unique dishes and trendy ambience.

The interiors are elegant and undeniably fun—with floor-to-ceiling windows, deep blue booths, and an unmissable sign on the west wall of the space that reads, “Drink and Be Happy.” Cocktail replicas adorn the walls, and from the moment visitors enter, it’s clear that this isn’t an ordinary restaurant.

The menu boasts items like Mexican creplettes, a Flashback Florentine egg benedict creation, and the unforgettable Dirty Bird—an airy waffle topped with southwest style fried chicken and tabasco maple syrup.

But it’s the daring drink menu that sets The Boozy Breakfast apart from other brunch spots around the Valley. Forget everything you think you know about flavorful breakfast and drink combos, because the bar masters at The Boozy Breakfast know how to make even a margarita sound good with an omelette or French toast dish.

Some of the most popular orders among customers are the Peach Bellmosa—made with peach vodka and OJ—and the Nutty Irishman—a boozy, icy drink made with Bailey’s, Frangelico and cold brew coffee. If you’re looking for less alcohol and more espresso—or perhaps, a bit of both—consider the “Cold Brooze” options like the Carajillo or The Dude.

The eatery also serves lunch, with items like salads, bowls, paninis and more.

The Boozy Breakfast is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Friday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
