Cinco De Mayo Celebrations in Phoenix

Whether you’re seeking a family-friendly affair or 21-and-older cerveza-fueled fun, here are 20-plus tasty ways to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in the Valley.

From 5 to 7 p.m., Wigwam Bar & Patio will be serving up four festive stations: tequila tasting ($12 for flight of three), street tacos (three tacos for $13), elote ($6) and churros (three with dipping sauces for $10). While guests enjoy their food and drink, they can enjoy the tunes of a mariachi band.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., both The Mission Old Town and The Mission Kierland Commons will be offering the limited-edition corrido burrito, with or without drink specials (Tecate or a Blanco shot and Tecate), starting at $12.

Revelers are invited to enjoy delicious food and beverage specials at Match Market & Bar. In honor of the holiday, diners can dig into green chile pork tacos, $7 margaritas and chips with house-made guac for $5.

Luckys Indoor Outdoor will be celebrating with $5 Modelo and $5 margaritas from 4 to 7 p.m. and $7 margaritas from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Local food truck Estero Beach Tacos will be serving up tacos on the patio starting at 6 p.m., and indie pop band People Who Could Fly will be performing from 6 to 9 p.m. Luckys Indoor Outdoor is 21-and-over only; there is no charge to attend this event. 

Ghost Ranch Modern Southwestern Cuisine

Ghost Ranch Modern Southwestern Cuisine in Tempe is offering a la carte tacos for just $2 each and drink specials like $5 Ghost Ranch Margarita, $5 Frosé and $4 Modelo Especial pints for guests looking to commemorate the Battle of Puebla.

Ghett’ Yo’ Taco is hosting its annual Cinco De Chandler, an all-day, family-friend fiesta in Downtown Chandler. The doors will open at 10 a.m. on May 5 as Ghett’ Yo Taco transforms its parking lot and patio into a massive party and beer garden. Enjoy live bands, mariachis and DJ’s throughout the entire day, as well as street tacos, a variety of cervezas and plenty of margaritas. Face-painting and piñata-making for the kids will be offered from 4 to 7 p.m. A DJ will host the late-night party until midnight. Kids 12 and under are free to the event. Adults can purchase tickets online before for $5 or at the door for $8.

Starting at 11 a.m., Jalapeno Inferno locations around the Valley will offer up $3 bottles of Mexican beers, various margarita specials and tasty Cinco de Mayo appetizer specials. Ample patio seating and Inferno margarita sampling is available at all locations. The Park West location in Peoria will have a tent, extended seating, a DJ and music to keep the party going all day long.

Macayo’s Mexican Restaurants is getting an early start on celebrating, with five full days of deals designed to get guests into the celebratory spirit. Beginning May 1, through May 5, guests can enjoy plenty of drink and dining specials, like $3 Dos XX and $7.50 1800 Margarita.

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with delicious wood-fired Mexican takeout from A Su Salud, a new ghost kitchen by Pita Jungle in Tempe. Receive a free three-cheese quesadilla with any $15 order through the third-party delivery app DoorDash. Customers can also take advantage of a BOGO special on Uber Eats starting May 2 through May 12. Both specials are available for delivery or pickup.

Barrio Queen is hosting a fiesta with a DJ playing all day, luchador model wrestlers photo opp, step and repeat for Instagram photos and free giveaways. Hungry diners can enjoy a special Barrio Queen Smackdown Special Drink and deal on Cinco Cerveza Buckets. There will also be a deal for those looking to celebrate at home with the Cinco TKO Box; each box brings the heat with five times the tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, churros and sides. 

CRUjiente Tacos

At CRUjiente Tacos, Chef Rich Hinojosa has created award-winning tacos and invites you to enjoy happy hour all day this Cinco de Mayo. Dishes include signature crunchy tacos for $4.50 to $5.50 and the “Best Margarita in the Valley” for $5, with various other tasty options.

Los Sombreros invites guests to enjoy $5 house margaritas, along with its award-winning authentic Mexican cuisine. Enjoy live music on the patio at the restaurant’s Scottsdale and Mesa locations. Those opting for carryout can take 20 percent off their takeout order with the code CARRYOUT.

Kick off your holiday with a tequila tasting at Belle’s Nashville Kitchen as the restaurant is offering four 1-oz. pours of tequila on flight boards for $35. Food specials for the holiday include tequila-and-lime-spiked chicken tacos and Picadilla steak tacos with pickled red onions. Both limited-time menu items will be $11 for three tacos.

Blue Clover Distillery in Scottsdale will serve green chile cheese fries plus a spicy vodka well drink for $15 on Cinco de Mayo.

The Lodge Sasquatch Kitchen in Tempe is serving up its famous house-made margaritas for $1 off this Cinco de Mayo.

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Thirsty Lion Gastropub and enjoy the Sauza House Margarita available for social hour pricing all day.

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Z’Tejas Southwest Grill with $5 house margaritas all day. Enjoy one on the rocks or frozen.

STK Steakhouse

STK Steakhouse is celebrating Cinco de Mayo with its version of tacos and tequila. During happy hour from 3 to 6:30 p.m., enjoy the tuna tartare tacos for $8 and the spiced watermelon cocktail for $10. 

From April 27 to May 31, Flower Child is serving up traditional a Mexican dish. The chicken enchiladas combine guajillo chile, smoked gouda, poblano crema, organic black bean, roasted corn and avocado. This dish is available dine-in, pick-up, curbside pick up and contact-free delivery. 

From 3 to 6 p.m., guests are invited to raise a glass to Cinco de Mayo at Urban Margarita, and enjoy carnitas and chicken tinga street tacos for $2 each and house margaritas for $5 each.

Trapp Haus is celebrating “Wings de Mayo” with wings, any style, for just $5 per order all day long.

In honor of Cinco de Mayo, Valley-based Kettle Heroes is launching its latest popcorn variety: Eloté Mexican Street Corn Mix. Jumbo bags of the new mix are available exclusively online for $9.99 April 25 through May 6.

Tempe’s plant-based Mexican food dining destination, GuacStar, is celebrating with $5 margaritas and an extended GuacTail hour from 2 to 6 p.m., offering $6 signature cocktails and appetizers at the bar. There will also be a DJ performing from 3 p.m. to close.

Pedal Haus will be offering $4 Mexican Stand-Off Micheladas, $5 tequila shots and $6 margaritas for Cinco de Mayo.

On May 5, Kitchen United Mix is giving away three surprise piñatas throughout the day that will indicate a free meal for Cinco De Mayo. Each winning customer will know they are a winner when they see a a little piñata riding down the conveyor belt with their order. Only valid for pickup orders.
