Air Guitar Now Open in Gilbert

Whether you’re in need of a wallet-friendly bottle of wine and a bouquet of flowers on the way to a friend’s house or an ice cream burrito and a lottery ticket for a fun Saturday night, Air Guitar has you covered. The new spot, which is a unique take on the traditional convenience store, is now open in Gilbert.

The brainchild of Craig and Kris DeMarco of Upward Projects and Eric and Elissa Seitz of Bro Retail Group, Air Guitar is more than four years in the making. And its quirky name? It was decided upon after a little in-car air guitar session to “Paradise City” during a road trip from California.

The first thing customers will notice upon pulling up to Air Guitar is its striking design, from debartolo architects. It is open and airy, and also quite large for a convenience store concept. Its shelves are lined with the usual corner market fodder, like soda, candy, beer, cleaning supplies–and even lottery-ticket vending machines. But Air Guitar has so much more in store, too, making it the destination as opposed to a spot that is simply “on the way.”

Air Guitar has full-service coffee bar; a cute ice cream nook (there is even a walk-up window outside!) where you can even grab a cone or an ice cream burrito; and fresh pizza by the slice, all of which can be enjoyed on the expansive and super-sleek patios.

To further meet your everyday shopping needs, there are dozens of grab-and-go meals made fresh daily by M Culinary Concepts; freezers with health-conscious eats, like frozen acai and gluten-free waffles; and gorgeous bouquets from Camelback Flowers on display. The impressive selection of wines, conveniently organized by price, is sure to be a huge hit, while a special case of high-end vino available for those occasions when a swankier selection is needed. There is even a display of cool Air Guitar-branded merch, for the truest of fans.

And if you are in a hurry, Air Guitar staff will be roaming the shop to check-out guests, via tablets, where they stand. Now, it doesn’t get more convenient than that.

Air Guitar is open daily from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. For more in Air Guitar, visit www.airguitar4life.com.
