With a celebrity fan following like Rami Malek, Solange Knowles and Vanessa Hudgens, Happy Joe Coffee has been a favorite spot in California since 2014. Come January, the coffee shop opens its first Arizona location in Tempe at the Arizona State University campus.
In addition to its cult-favorite regular coffee, Happy Joe Coffee also offers its own line of CBD coffee, which it started offering in 2017 to offer an easy way to incorporate the medicinal benefits of CBD into a daily routine. Happy Joe Coffee’s CBD is derived from regeneratively grown 100-percent organic hemp and has no psychoactive effects.
The menu include a range of classic lattes, teas and coffees, with standouts being Nutella cold brew and cinnamon dolce matcha. Happy Joe’s coffee is sourced through direct-trade relationships with world-wide farmers, is roasted in small batches and produces “clean energy” (the energy to get you through your day without a crash or jitters).
The Tempe location will be found in a new building which is also being used for student housing (though not through ASU). Plans are in the works for a second campus location, as well as additional Happy Joe Coffee locations.
