CHoP Chandler is the first locally owned steakhouse in the area and has become a fine-dining fixture in South Chandler for a decadent night out. The vibe is dimly lit and romantic, which paired with exceptional service, is the recipe for a memorable, and delicious, date or special occasion.
The restaurant serves all of the classics you’d expect during a steakhouse visit–calamari and shrimp cocktail, wedge salad, rich and creamy potato sides, and divine steak, chops, and seafood. There are a few tasty curveballs in the mix, too, like Cajun-seared ahi tuna (pictured at top of page) and lightly spicy Bang Bang shrimp among the appetizers. For those not in the mood for a meaty entree, there are several seafood dishes to choose from, like scallops and sea bass.
However, the steaks at CHoP Chandler are the star of the show, especially since the steakhouse recently welcomed an exclusive in-house dry-aged beef program, in which each cut has been aged between 21 to 60 days. The state-of-the-art dry-aging cabinet brings out the tenderness of premium beef cuts. It is maintained between 34- to 38-degrees Fahrenheit, with humidity levels between 80 and 85 percent to prevent excessive drying and microbial growth. From selection to preparation, each cut undergoes a thorough process to ensure the highest quality and flavor.
Diners can choose from a 20-oz. boneless New York, a 34.-oz. bone-in ribeye, and a even a Tomahawk that goes up to 60 ounces for feeding a small crowd. To pair, the crispy Brussels sprouts and cauliflower, with a sweet Thai chili sauce, is a zesty and unexpected side.
In true steakhouse fashion, desserts at CHoP Chandler are top notch (the key lime pie is absolutely divine), and the wine list is elegant yet approachable, with options available by the glass and bottle.
