Cinnaholic Opens in Scottsdale

Cinnaholic is breaking the cinnamon roll norm by offering to-die-for, elevated rolls that will make you forget everything you thought you knew about the sweet pastry. The spot is now open in Scottsdale with its next location slated for Tempe.

Open seven days a week, Cinnaholic at Scottsdale’s Block at Pima Center offers plant-based cinnamon rolls and other sweet treats like fudgy brownies, Dole whip, freshly baked cookies and an indulgent lineup of edible cookie dough. Cinnaholic is even offering love-inspired treats in honor of Valentine’s Day, with a specialty menu available until Feb. 14 that is sure to steal your heart featuring chocolate-covered strawberries, a chocolate-covered strawberry roll and sweetheart boxes holding two chocolate-covered strawberries, two brownies, two cookies and two rolls.

The spot is owned by Vikas and Roli Mittal, two New Jersey natives who opened the first Cinnaholic in their home city. The two have since moved to Arizona and wanted to bring a taste of their home bakery to their new home in the Sonoran desert.

“My family and I resonated with Cinnaholic from the beginning as we ourselves live a vegan and vegetarian lifestyle, and we further fell in love with the concept as proud owners of the Westfield location,” says Vikas Mittal, owner of Cinnaholic – Scottsdale.

The Cookie Monster

Like its proud owners, Cinnaholic focuses on providing a plant-based menu that is 100 percent vegan, dairy and lactose-free, egg-free, cholesterol-free and allergen-friendly. Some of its most popular rolls (and our personal favorites) include The Cookie Monster, with cream cheese frosting, homemade chocolate chip cookie dough, chocolate chips and a chocolate sauce; the Caramel Apple Pie with caramel frosting, fresh apples, pecans, homemade pie crumble and a caramel sauce drizzle; and, for those feeling a little less adventurous, The Old Skool is a staple: a classic cinnamon roll with delicate vanilla frosting.

For those who love to DIY, Cinnaholic offers a do-it-yourself-style cinnamon roll, where guests can build their dream roll. There are over 20 toppings and frosting flavors to choose from, such as chai, banana, orange and more. Each cinnamon roll and dessert is baked fresh daily, with toppings like the cookie dough being handcrafted right in its kitchen.
