From the team behind the popular Denver Beer Co. comes Formation Brewing, a new concept set to open this fall in the Roosevelt Row neighborhood of Phoenix.
The new brewery and craft kitchen will be located between Phoenix’s Taco Chelo and Le Du Thai in a 10,000-plus-sq.-ft space that is currently being fully reconstructed. Formation Brewing–which promises to be a comfortable, fun community gathering space for friends to bond over a cold pint–will feature a central sunken seating area, a patio equipped with fire pits and misters, 33-ft.-tall ceilings, a 19-tank brewing system that will give guests an up-close look at the brewing process, a full kitchen, and a 110-seat dining area. The second story will house an additional bar and space for up to 100 guests, allowing for private parties.
“We’ve been inspired by nature and our surroundings,” says Robert MacEachern, CEO of Formation Brewing, in a press release. “Just like stones that shape grand arches or birds soaring in unison, Formation can create something greater than the sum of its parts. Together, we brew not only fantastic beer, but create a shared experience that unites us all.”
Once open later this fall, the brewery will have 24 total taps, including four signature beers inspired by the desert: Cloud Drifter Hazy IPA, Desert Racer Pilsner, Sun Crest Tart Peach Ale, and Western Winds West Coast IPA. These options will also be available in prepackaged 12-oz. cans. Formation Brewery will also serve a full locally-inspired food menu.
“Formation Brewing is the culmination of 13 years of passion for and experience in brewing, events and hospitality,” says MacEachern, in a press release. “When it comes down to it, we want to be known as a go-to place that serves great beer, great food and where people are happy to be, where people feel that strong sense of community and inclusivity.”
