Heritage Park Gilbert

Gilbert’s Heritage Park Announces New Restaurants

The transformation of Downtown Gilbert is underway with the groundbreaking of Heritage Park. This mixed-use development will reshape the northern gateway of the town’s Heritage District. Spanning 10 acres at Gilbert Road and Juniper Avenue, the project promises a vibrant blend of dining, retail, luxury living, and community space.

Led by Phoenix-based Creation and nation developer Crescent Communities, Heritage Park will introduce an entirely new city block of energy and experiences. The first phase of the development includes 47,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, more than 300 surface parking spots, a landscaped public square, and NOVEL Heritage Park (a 288-unit upscale multifamily community that will be completed in spring 2027).

“Heritage Park is designed to be more than just a destination – it’s a place where culture, career, and community seamlessly blend together,” says Ken Keefe, director of Development at Crescent Communities, in a press release.

The dining experience at Heritage Park is already taking shape. Flagship Restaurant Group has signed on to open three popular concepts: Ghost Donkey, Palma, and Blue Sushi Sake Grill, totaling 14,000 square feet of culinary real estate. Ghost Donkey is a lively mezcal and tequila bar that captures the heart of Mexican hospitality. With a fiesta-inspired atmosphere, the intimate hangout is known for its extensive selection of agave-based spirits, including tequila and mezcal, creative cocktails, and happy hour specials. The bar also offers light bites, making it the go-to destination for those seeking a fun, energetic night out. Palma is known for its laidback vibe, where palm trees, water fountains, and fire pits create a lush, welcoming escape. The vibrant eatery offers cocktails, brunch, and shareable plates in a setting that blends natural textures, creating modern comfort. Lastly, Blue Sushi Sake Grill offers a modern take on Japanese-inspired dining. Known for its wide variety of sushi rolls, nigiri, and sashimi, ranging from traditional to inventive maki, Blue Sushi also features a large Asian-inspired menu with additional starters, soups, salads, and entrees.

Additional restaurant and retail tenants are in advanced negotiations, with announcements expected soon. Future phases of the development will include a 125-room boutique hotel, office space, and structured parking.

From elevated retail and dining to purposefully curated living spaces, Heritage Park captures the vibrant character and inviting atmosphere that makes Gilbert one of the most sought-after places to live and visit,” says Sagar Rathie, managing director at Crescent Communities, in a press release.

“Gilbert continues to earn national recognition for its exceptional quality of life, making it the ideal setting for this cornerstone development,” says Gilbert Mayor Scott Anderson, in a press release. “Heritage Park will be a signature piece of the Heritage District, offering a unique blend of dining, retail, and residential spaces that will further enrich the area’s vibrant atmosphere. As our northern anchor for now, it sets the stage for future expansion and new possibilities within the district.”
