As we inch toward spring and the season of renewal, Four Seasons Scottsdale Resort at Troon North has launched its Heart of the Desert campaign, brimming with exciting events and activations through May 31. Heart of the Desert celebrates the beauty of the blossoming desert landscape with highlights like a Southwest-inspired afternoon tea, cocktail master classes, mezcal tastings, and much more.
Onyx Bar & Lounge is at the heart of the springtime campaign with its Heart of the Desert Pop-up. Through May 31, the lounge transforms into a desert retreat offering unique activations, special offers, and an exciting collab with The Lost Explorer, known for its four different types of mezcal.
The Scottsdale resort puts its own Southwestern spin on Afternoon Tea during Heart of the Desert. This unique high tea experience features sweet and savory bites, each inspired by the surrounding desert (think hibiscus-prawn mini taco, plantain and masa croquettes, and flourless chocolate cake decorated with edible succulents), and paired with a wide array of hot tea selections and Onyx’s jaw-dropping views. (The desserts are even infused with The Lost Explorer Mezcal.) Afternoon tea at Onyx Bar & Lounge is available through June 1, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 1 to 3:30 p.m.
Also taking place this spring at Onyx Bar & Lounge, guests and visitors can enjoy four specialty desert-inspired cocktails, handcrafted by mixologist Johnathan Jones from the popular Bandista Bar at Four Seasons Houston, as well as a signature menu spotlighting the flavors of the Sonoran Desert from Chef Emmanuel Urban during Heart of the Desert. Plus, The Lost Explorer’s. global brand ambassador hosts Agave Ritual Tastings April 19 and May 31. This guided experience will take guests on a highly informative journey through the world of mezcal and tequila. Agave Ritual Tastings are $90 per person.
Offered the first Friday of the month (April 4 and May 2) from 6 to 8 p.m., guests can purchase a featured cocktail crafted with The Lost Explorer Mezcal and enjoy a complimentary tarot reading during Tarot & Cocktails. Guests are also invited to customize their own refreshing Paloma with an array of salts and garnishes at the Paloma Stand at Onyx Bar & Lounge. On April 18 at 3 p.m., Peter Sanchez hosts a one-hour Cocktail Master Class within Talavera’s Gin Room. The class will hold up to 15 students, who will enjoy a hands-on session of gaining expert cocktail-crafting tips. The Cocktail Master Class is $90 per person; book here.
